Thousand Lakes Wilderness
My wife and I took this trip over the summer to break away from the city. Just a few miles down the road from Lassen park you'll find Thousand Lakes Wilderness. What a place for our first backpacking excursion. This also served up a good place to test out my new Sony A7s camera. Below are a few pictures I captured, and yes, we had our dog Sydney carry her own bag.
Unfortunately, there has been a massive forest fire in the Lake Eiler area over the summer and I don't know if this area was effected or not. Fingers crossed.
