Year End Road Trip 2014: Part 5

Welcome to Utah

Zzzzzzzzz.....huh. Ah Mountains!

That last bit of southern Idaho was rough. Absolutely nothing. I was so board I started shooting street style photos from the rig. Was lucky to snag this gem at 90mph :)

They were good sports about my random photo attack. They both sent me off with big smiles and a friendly wave, never to be seen again. I live for these random encounters. You never know who or what you'll come across. 100 miles later I found myself dead center in the middle of nowhere for another fill up.

As I begun to close in on Slat Lake City, more and more small towns started to show up. One in particular caught my eye from a distance. There were these large spires that stood tall above everything else. I pulled off and made my way toward this mystery structure. Soon I realized exactly where I was. The town of Brigham, I'm definitely in Utah!

For those who don't know, Brigham Young was the founder of Salt Lake City. He lead the Mormon pioneers, and found Salt Lake to be their promised land.

Tabernacle

Mormon Temple

You can tell by the gold angel, Angel Moroni, on top blowing the trumpet.

It was Sunday, raining, and not much happening so I took off to have dinner with a few close friends who happen to live in the city. I'll figure out where I'm headed next after dinner. When am I going to get out of this rain?!

Salt Lake City Bound

Photo. Video. Adventure. Let's go outside.
