Year End Road Trip 2014: Part 6
Nephi, UT
Pit stop for the night
Had a great dinner in Salt Lake with friends and figured my next destination. Zion National Park! Super excited. Stopped in a town called Nephi for the night. I wanted to find a hole in the wall hotel and by did I find it.
The Safari Motel
Only $40! Oh wait, no heater?
It wasn't a luxury stay but I enjoyed it. Exactly what I was looking for. Yes, it was cold at night but to be honest I didn't sleep long anyway. Although I did wake up to a nice surprise.
Snow!
The snow is nice but I needed to high tail it south as I didn't want to get caught up in the storm. The trip was slow going at first, but I started to out run the storm an hour or so down the road.
Decided to get off HWY 15 and make my way over to 89 for a more scenic drive. I hear you drive through Main Street of a bunch of small towns. Been seeing more of those on this trip. Unfortunately they are either abandon or not much going on. They sure do have some character though.
